Personal Development and Life-Coping Skills Program for Children and Youth

This free service will primarily focus on assisting children and youth in developing the attitude, knowledge, habits and skills required to achieve their individual and personal goals. The program will also focus on teaching and training the children and youth the skills required to handle the demands and responsibilities of life in a balanced and calculated manner.

The Personal Development and Life-Coping Skills Program will achieve the following:

  1. 1- Raise self-esteem
  2. Help each one to find his/her purpose and values in life
  3. Build skills required to meet the basic requirements of life (e.g. how to pay bills, looking for a job, managing day to day schedules and responsibilities, dealing with life's challenges, etc.)
  4. Improving confidence and outward appearance
  5. Relationship Skills: Showing how to form and maintain good relationships; instructing on identifying and ending bad relationships; showing how to separate the different kinds of relationships for one another (e.g. personal vs. professional, intimate vs. causal, etc.)
  6. Improving academic performance
  7. Communication Skills: Assisting in understanding the different forms of communication; developing confidence in oral and written communications;and showing effective use of technology in communicating
  8. Encouraging performance in competitive sports or music programs
  9. Employment Soft Skills: Showing how to properly complete a job application; training in how to write an impressive resume; training in interview techniques; discussing appropriate communication in the work place; fostering positive job related attitude; and showing techniques in employing body language.
